Adi becomes his dad’s voice

The reclusive YRF scion called up actors and filmmakers to invite them for Jab Tak…premiere

It was perhaps for the first time, the ever-reclusive Aditya Chopra picked up the phone to invite people for a YRF film premiere. After all it was his father’s last wish. Several industry wallahs were a tad bit surprised to see Adi’s phone number flashing on their phones over the last three days.

      Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan and even Salman Khan received a call from Adi that went somewhat like this” Hello, Jab Tak Hai Jaan was dad’s last film. The premiere will be held at the new auditorium in Yash Raj Studios that Karan Johar and I have worked hard to design. Please do come.

     Needless to say, receiving a call from the soft-spoken YRF scion himself most blocked their dates for the grand premiere instantly. In fact, Juhi Chawla, who stars in Son of Sardar graced the premiere too.

     After Yash Chopra’s demise, many in the industry circles had wonederd whether the rather reserved Adi would be able to rise up to his father’s social stature. Looks like the elder Chopra has lost no time before filling in for his dad.
