Yesterday, Mirror reported that Madhoo of Roja fame has registered a complaint with the Malabar Hill police after being inundated with obscene letters by an unknown person for almost a month.
It is learnt the Malabar Hill police have started the hunt for the unidentified person who has been stalking the actress. Madhoo's husband, who has already given his statement to the police, has named two suspects who could be behind the objectionable letters being circulated since last month.
According to the police, an old family dispute could be the reason behind the harassment, where the accused just wants to mentally trouble the actress. The police visiting the post office from where the letters are being posted. They have found the names mentioned in the letters to be fake, and no one mentioned resides at those addresses.
A police officer on condition of ananymity said, "We will be looking at the CCTV footage on the cameras installed in the post office. We are positive we will get some clues from it. We will also call in the suspects. mentioned by the victim's family for questioning."
Letters containing explicit material against Madhoo were being circulated for nearly a month now. Interestingly, they were even sent to the Central Excise Office and the police station. On Tuesday, a letter containing obscene pictures of the actress was dropped at her Malabar hill residence. It was at this point that she registered the complaint.
