Of the two films, one is a thriller based on the gang wars in Ghaziabad while the other is a comedy set in a village in Haruana. However, Anand Kumar's Zilla Ghazizbad and Vishal Bhardwaj's Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola are not only hitting theatres on the same day, the leading men of the two films seem to be sporting the same look as well.
Arshad Warsi and Imran Khan are seen wearing a kurta and trousers. The look is completed with glares and scarves around their necks.
All said, industry sources insist Arshad started shooting Zilla Ghaziabad well before Imran began work on Matru...Perhaps, filmmakers envisage north Indian men to be rugged- with facial fuzz and a kurta.
