The director's second will be a relationship drama and he is planning the ambitious expedition for his third film.
Previously, there have been no Indian films, and only a handful of foreign ones, which have managed to plant their cameras in the secluded Arctic expanse. From what Mirror has gathered, Gandhi wanted to shoot parts of Ship of Theseus in the region, but the location could not be plausibly incorporated in the film's script.
When contacted, Gandhi who is busy on his debut film's Oscar campaign, confirmed the impending expedition to the northernmost point on the Earth.
"It's far in the future, maybe a year from now. A lot of logistics need to be in place, before I take my crew there. I'll be soon working on a script, wherein North Pole's geography will be crucial to the story," said the filmmaker.
"I wanted to do this for my first film, but unfortunately it didn't blend with our storyline. But for my next, I will capture it for sure. It will be a magical experience to watch it on canvas," he added.
